Beyond the Workbook: Enriching and Enhancing Reading and Writing Instruction

This workshop will focus on both reading and writing instruction. Exposing learners to a variety of reading material which is meaningful and engaging can improve reading competency, leading to engagement with richer and more complex text. This naturally leads to meaningful writing topics and activities which can then be used as a springboard to effective writing instruction including, but not limited to, GED essay writing.
